The Land Ministry has started the program of observing ‘Sheikh Russel Day 2022’ by placing wreaths at the portrait of the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Shaheed Sheikh Russel today, Tuesday morning, under the leadership of Land Secretary Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA, in the premises of the ministry. A discussion, chaired by the Land Secretary, on Sheikh Russel Day took place in the conference room of the Ministry of Land thereafter. All levels of officials and staff of the Ministry of Land were present at this time.
In his speech at the meeting, the land secretary said that at a time when the father of the nation was leading the struggle for the rights of the people of the region and dreaming of independence, his family was going through severe uncertainty and darkness due to the activities of the Pakistani repression forces; At this moment, on this day in 1964, Sheikh Russel came to earth with joy for his family. Sheikh Russel was very talented, a symbol of serenity, and a lifelong valiant star.
The secretary said the nation is eternally grateful to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family for their sacrifice. We all have to learn from the life philosophy of the family members of the Father of the Nation.
Mustafizur Rahman said, we have to encourage the younger members of our family and children to cherish the martyr Sheikh Russel in the heart. Our children or children’s children should be taught to capture the memorable memories of little star Sheikh Russel, his steadfast attitude and immense courage and the spirit of the liberation war and the ideals of Bangabandhu. So that the children of today’s generation can take Sheikh Russel’s radiant conviction in their hearts and lead the developed Bangladesh of the future and give strong leadership.
