Staff Reporter, Dhaka : Land Secretary Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA said that initiatives have been taken to deliver land knowledge to everyone along with delivering land services at the fingertips.
The Land Secretary said this while delivering as the chief guest at the contract signing ceremony of an agreement with the respective vendor organization for setting up a smart and intelligent land knowledge management system (e-Book) in the conference room of the Ministry of Lands at the Secretariat today.
The land secretary also said that it is essential for every citizen of a country, especially the land owner, to have proper knowledge of land laws and regulations. The Ministry of Land has taken the initiative to establish a smart and intelligent land knowledge management system considering the benefits of everyone including people with disabilities and special needs.
The land secretary said artificial intelligence technology will be used in the land knowledge system so that people can easily find the laws they need. Besides, if someone has a problem, this system will also find out what kind of laws and regulations are needed to remedy it very easily. Among the unique features of this system will be accessible for people with disabilities and special needs. Among these facilities is the read-aloud system. That is, the desired topic can be heard from the system only by doing voice search (speech-to-text searching).
Ministry of Land Joint Secretary Md. Zahid Hossain Panir, PAA signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry, while Chief Executive Officer of Dream Seventy-One Bangladesh Limited Ltd. Md. Wahid Khan signed the agreement on behalf of the software developer company. The system is expected to be operational by 2023.
Additional Secretaries of the Ministry of Land including other officials of the Ministry of Land and senior executives of the above software company were also present at the signing ceremony.
