The car was unveiled at its Jinan factory in China, symbolizing another groundbreaking accomplishment for the brand.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>BYD\u00a0reached\u00a0the\u00a0production\u00a0of\u00a01\u00a0million\u00a0NEV\u00a0in\u00a0May\u00a02021\u00a0and\u00a0rapidly\u00a0multiplied\u00a0this\u00a0figure threefold\u00a0within\u00a018\u00a0months,\u00a0then\u00a0surpassed\u00a05\u00a0million\u00a0units\u00a0in\u00a0merely\u00a09\u00a0additional\u00a0months.\u00a0In just\u00a07\u00a0months\u00a0from\u00a0this\u00a0mark,\u00a0BYD\u00a0accelerated\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a07\u00a0million\u00a0milestone,\u00a0showcasing\u00a0a robust\u00a0end-to-end\u00a0supply\u00a0chain\u00a0and\u00a0the effect\u00a0of\u00a0scale. In 2023, BYD&#8217;s cumulative annual sales of NEV soared to 3.02 million units, solidifying its status as the global leader in NEV sales. A variety of models from its extensive brand portfolio consistently led sales rankings within their individual categories.<\/p>\n<p>BYD actively engaged with the international market and quickly expanded its global footprint, including Bangladesh. The brand has witnessed a surge in overseas new energy passenger car sales that exceeded 240,000 units\u2014a 337 percent year-on-year growth\u2014making it the top Chinese exporter of NEVs in 2023. Up to now, BYD&#8217;s new energy passenger vehicles have been introduced to 64 countries and regions globally, with strategic investments in manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Brazil, Uzbekistan, and Hungary.
