Together for Bangladesh & Chitrokarkhana hosted ‘Sharing Happiness’ with street kids

Staff Reporter Dhaka : In collaboration with Together for Bangladesh, LEEDO Peace Home this year Chitrokarkhana is hosting their year-end event Sharing Happiness at a grander scale.

On 25th December Chitrokarkhana & Together for Bangladesh hosted a celebratory program in regard to the “Sharing Happiness” event. The program took place at LEEDO Peace Home, a non-profit organization located in Washpur and began at 4 PM. They are upholding its tradition by distributing, winter aid, toys, stationery items, and books among the disadvantaged people through their event “Sharing happiness’. Also Morshed Mishu, the Prominent Cartoonist became the Santa Clause for the night & shared happiness to the street kids.

This year Chitrokarkhana, Together for Bangladesh and its support organizations aim to bring smiles to three hundred faces. The event was graced by Esrat Karim Eve, Founder and Director of Amal Foundation, SM Nazmus Sakib, Executive Director of Together for Bangladesh, Masuma Moriom, Director of Shwapno Youth Development Foundation to name a few. The evening began with an art camp and an art competition participated by the peace home children. Later, cultural performances by the children. After listening to the children, Estiak Prottoy, co-founder of Chitrokarkhana, introduced the guests to the Chitrokarkhana Three Six Zero Team’s sustainable changes across the peace home project. Following that, musicians played and sang with the children, along with other notable local musicians. Following the play, Santa Claus chatted with the youngsters, reviewed children’s paintings and drew fun stuff with the kids and guests in attendance, distributing gifts and staff. We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting event.

SM Nazmus Sakib, The Executive director of Together for Bangladesh said, “We are looking forward to hosting more events like this at LEEDO Peace Home and celebrating every occasion with smiles and pleasant faces.”

“Sharing Happiness” is turning seven this year. Chitrokarkhana has a plan to arrange it every year and increase the number and area coverage and thus they have put their plans into place to make it impactful. Our target is to reach more people every year with the support of our partners, says Ahmed Farhan Muqeem, Co-Founder of Chitrokarkhana Three Six Zero. We have already signed an agreement with Together For Bangladesh and LEEDO Peace home to host more events like this throughout the year.
