Staff Reporter, Dhaka : Vice President of Consular Corps of Bangladesh and Chairman of The Asian Age Shoeb Chowdhury called on Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma in the Indian High Commission on Wednesday.
Pranay Verma and Shoeb Chowdhury exchanged views on further boosting economic ties between India and Bangladesh. Shoeb Chowdhury spotlighted on the cultural bonds between the two countries which is bolstered by the spirit of 1971.
He expressed gratefulness to Pranay Verma for the cooperation and support India extended to Bangladesh during the Liberation War of 1971 as Bangladesh is passing the month of victory.
Pranay Verma said that Bangladesh is India’s most trustworthy partner which was reflected through Bangladesh’s participation in the G20 Summit in New Delhi in September 2023. Pranay Verma sounded optimistic that the existing friendly alliance between India and Bangladesh will become more consolidated in days to come. They shared the fact that the export volume from Bangladesh to India is increasing on a high scale, which strengthens the trade balance between the two countries.
