Staff Reporter, Dhaka : The Prize Giving Ceremony 2022-23 and Annual Cultural Programme of BAF Shaheen English Medium College (SEMC) was held on Sunday (05-03- 2023) at Shaheen Hall, Dhaka Cantonment.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque, BBP, BSP, ndu, afwc, psc graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He distributed Merit Awards among the meritorious students of BAF SEMC and the ‘Chief of Air Staff Crests’ among the high achievers of O & A Level Exam held on 2022 from BAF SEMC .

01 was awarded the ‘Best Student of 2022’ in Junior Group and 01 was awarded the ‘Best Student of 2022’ in Senior Group. 03 were awarded ‘The Best Teacher 2022’ award.

MARS House was awarded Champion Trophy of 2022-23 in Academics and Runner-up Trophy was awarded to VENUS House in the same field. In cultural field MERCURY House was awarded the Champion Trophy and JUPITER House was awarded the Runner Up Trophy. The Overall Champion Trophy was Awarded to MERCURY House and Runner Up Trophy was awarded to VENUS House.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest applauded the remarkable feat attained by the students of the college. He expressed hope that the college would continue this prosperous trend in future. Air Officer Commanding BAF Base BSR & Chairman, Governing Body of the college Air Vice Marshal Md Sharif Uddin Sarker, GUP, BPP, ndc, psc was present.

In the welcome speech, the Principal of BAF SEMC Group Captain Moinul Hoque, BUP, psc highlighted the outstanding achievements of the college in both academic and co-curricular activities. The Prize Giving Ceremony was followed by a spectacular cultural programme in which the artists of BAF SEMC showcased their talents by performing songs, recitations, dances and drama. The function was attended by high officials of Bangladesh Air Force, parents, teachers, office staff and students of the College.
