Staff Reporter, Dhaka : The 16th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, dedicated to celebrating and empowering entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, has commenced with great fervor. This significant Week is being observed from November 13th to November 19th, 2023, and is set to make a lasting impact. With the participation of over 78 partner organizations, this year’s celebration features more than 200 events spanning across 30 districts in 8 divisions throughout Bangladesh. Partner organizations encompass educational institutions, chambers of commerce, associations, government agencies, international organizations, and dynamic youth groups. It is expected that more than 100,000 individuals will directly participate, and an additional 3 million people will be reached through online connections.

The festivities officially kicked off on November 13th, 2023, with the opening ceremony hosted by GEN Bangladesh. This grand gathering united startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, mentors, investors, and enthusiastic participants at the picturesque Green Garden RoofTop in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, the Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to all attendees, setting the tone for this exciting week. Dr. Khan passionately encouraged all participants to embrace and celebrate the entrepreneurial journey undertaken by Bangladesh’s dynamic entrepreneurs. He emphasized the critical importance of collaborative efforts in enhancing the entrepreneurial support ecosystem within Bangladesh and urged everyone to come together, fostering innovation and ensuring long-term sustainability. The opening ceremony was also addressed by Bikorno Kumar Ghosh, Chief Executive officer, FBCCI Research Innovation Center (IRC), IsmatZerin Khan, Managing Director, Jermatz Limited, Dr. RubinaHussain, Managing Director, Institute of Hotel Management and Hospitality, Imran Fahad, Founder & Managing Director, Inspiring Bangladesh Limited, SarabanTahura Turin, Founder & CEO of Turtle Venture Studeio,  AlishaProdhan, CEO ofHernet TV and GolamMostafa, Managing Director, Paragon Pump Ltd.
