Staff Reporter, Dhaka : In the recent years, Bangladesh has experienced considerable growth in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. Bangladeshi ICT industry has made great strides to transform the country’s digital landscape. To propagate the development of ICT industry further and to recognize the front-runners who can serve as benchmarks for the others, “The Daily Star ICT Awards” is being organized for the seventh time. The programme is supported by BRAC Bank & Daffodil International University and enlightened by Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS), Le Méridien Dhaka is the hospitality partner for the event.

Recently, the gala event of the initiative was held at Le Méridien Dhaka. Chief Guest Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP, Minister, Ministry of Industries handed over the crests to the winners.

Selim R. F. Hussain, Managing Director & CEO, BRAC Bank Limited, Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU) & Daffodil Family, Russell T. Ahmed, President, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Mr. Mahfuz Anam, Editor & Publisher, The Daily Star were present at the event.
