staff reporter, Dhaka : Land Secretary Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA said that Customer Service Oriented training is being emphasized in the training curriculum of land officials. For this, the training program is being updated.
Land Secretary Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA said this while chairing the Land Administration Training Center courses module finalization meeting in the conference room of the Ministry of Land today, Wednesday. Director of the training center Md. Arif was present at the moment.
The land secretary said that the digital land management service systems have been made user-friendly, keeping the land service receivers in mind. Anyone who can use e-mail or social media can also easily apply for e-Mutation, pay online land development tax or apply for land map or Khatiyan (Record of Rights) from home. Even one can receive these services by just calling 16122. Besides, online land services could be availed with the help of Union Digital Center (UDC) for a fee.
“Not only are we working on land management digitalization or law reform, but also working to earn the trust of our esteemed land service receivers, our customers”, – Mustafizur Rahman adds, while noting that “the Ministry of Land is working according to the directions of the Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury to ensure efficient, transparent, accountable and pro-people land service as per the mandate of the current government”.
The Land Secretary thinks that land is closely related to everyone’s daily life, social customs and economic activities, so it is necessary for citizens to have a proper understanding of basic land management. Text, graphics, and videos related to land laws, regulations, and ways to get land services have been uploaded to various government portals and social media, including Land Ministry’s portals and social media. Beyond the academic set-up, both the citizens receiving land services and the officials providing land services can learn a lot about the land administration and management of the country on their own initiative from these online content, according to the Land Secretary.

The Land Administration Training Center operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land is located in Nilkhet Dhaka. Various levels of government officials-staffs of the Ministry of Land and other ministries along with the Assistant Commissioner (Land) receive training on land administration and management there.
