Staff reporter. Dhaka : Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury and Land Secretary Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA expressed their sincere condolences at the death of Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Land Sanjib Kumar Debnath.
Sanjib Kumar Debnath breathed his last today on October 3, 2022, while undergoing treatment for cancer in Chennai, India. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and numerous well-wishers.
In his condolence message, the land minister said Sanjib Kumar Debnath served in various capacities of the state with great skill and reputation. The untimely demise of a young meritorious officer such as him is an irreparable loss to public administration and the country.
In his condolence message, the land secretary said Sanjib Kumar Debnath was an efficient officer. As a professional civil service officer, he performed his duty with utmost devotion. In his passing, I lost a very good colleague and the nation lost a brilliant officer.
In separate condolence messages, the Land Minister and the Land Secretary prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to his bereaved family members.
Sanjib Kumar Debnath, a member of the 24th BCS administration cadre, was known as an honest, meritorious, efficient, and smart officer in his career as well as a very humble, agreeable, and gentleman in his personal life. His untimely death has cast a shadow of grief over colleagues.
