Staff Reporter, Dhaka : One of the country’s leading business conglomerates in medical device and pharmaceuticals manufacturing sector, JMI Group’s hospital will be established in the Amin Trade Centre, a high-rise building at 764, Satmasjid Road, Dhanmondi, of the capital Dhaka. For this, the entire building has been rented by the JMI Specialized Hospital Limited.
On this occasion, a lease signing ceremony was held on the second floor of the building under construction on Sunday (August 13) afternoon. Founder and Managing Director of JMI Group Md. Abdur Abdur Razzaq, on behalf of JMI Specialized Hospital Limited, and Managing Director of Amin Mohammad Group Aminul Haque Nabil, on behalf of Amin Trade Center, signed the agreement.
It was informed in the event that the JMI Group has already become a trusted brand in its long journey to ensure healthcare for the country and people. In this situation, JMI Group has decided to invest in hospital management to strengthen the healthcare sector of the country. And to implement this goal, an initiative has been taken to establish a hospital named “JMI Specialized Hospital Limited” as a subsidiary of JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Limited, a company listed in the capital market. If all goes well, the hospital is expected to be operational within July, 2024.
Founder and Managing Director of JMI Group Md. Abdur Razzaq said at the contract signing ceremony that, “We are always expanding our business for the welfare of the country and the people. That’s why JMI Group has become a trusted brand at home and abroad. We want to go one step further in improving the quality of healthcare of the people of the country. We are investing in hospital management for this purpose. Quality healthcare at a fair price will surely be the main objective of our investment causing people will not go abroad for treatment, which also saves valuable foreign currency.”
Chairman of JMI Group Md. Jabed Iqbal Pathan said in his welcome speech, “JMI Group was one of the partners of the government in fighting COVID-19. Most of the people in the country have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with the syringes we have manufactured. This time we want to bring qualitative changes in the healthcare sector of the country. We are establishing hospitals to realize this goal so that the people of the country can receive world-class healthcare in the country without going abroad.”
Managing Director of Amin Mohammad Group Aminul Haque Nabil said, “JMI Specialized Hospital to be established in the country to provide world-class medical services. I hope this hospital will compete with the top hospitals of the country and become a place of people’s trust through proper diagnosis and advanced treatment. JMI Specialized Hospital will be able to provide good treatment through the use of advanced equipment and accurate diagnosis with the help of skilled physicians and technicians. I believe that by coming here, people will be able to get medical services at a fair price in the country without going abroad and being satisfied with the humane behavior and medical services of the hospital authorities, doctors, nurses and employees.”
Among others, Amin Mohammad Group Vice Chairman Bilkis Haque, and Director Mahfuza Maisha Haque Nusrat, Chief Executive Officer of JMI Builders and Construction Limited Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer of JMI Group Md. Zahangir Alam, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Professor Dr. Mahmud Hasan, Dr. Saiful Islam, Dr. Adnan Ahmed, Dr. Tamjeed Alam, and Dr. Arman Ali were present at the contract signing ceremony.
