H.E. The Gambian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mustapha Jawara, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Land Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda today, Thursday, at the minister’s office at the secretariat. The Land Minister appraised the High commissioner on Bangladesh’s various plans for land management and its digitalization.
High Commissioner Mustapha Jawara praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s strong leadership for Bangladesh’s rapid industrialization and development. He mentioned that the Prime Minister’s initiative to implement smart land management is also having a positive impact on the overall development of Bangladesh.
The High Commissioner conveyed his earnest anticipation of Bangladesh’s invaluable support in facilitating land management and surveys in The Gambia. He underscored the profound historical and fraternal ties shared between Bangladesh and Gambia as two Muslim nations. Recognizing Bangladesh as a recipient of the UN Public Service Award in the field of land service, the High Commissioner expressed confidence in Bangladesh’s capacity to play a constructive role in advancing land management and survey initiatives in The Gambia.
Narayon Chandra Chanda assured the High Commissioner of all kinds of cooperation in land development and land survey, expressing his strong optimism on the strengthening of the strategic, commercial, and global partnerships between the two countries. He hoped that the government of Bangladesh and Gambia will develop positive bilateral relations in this regard.
During the courtesy call of the High Commissioner with the Minister of Land, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Land Jahid Hossain Panir, Director General of the Africa Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs AFM Zahid Ul Islam, along with officials from the Ministry of Land, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Gambian High Commission, were also present. A visual presentation on smart land management in Bangladesh was also given to the Gambian High Commissioner.
