Staff Reporter, Dhaka : Electronic products use energy to operate, and during this process, they generate heat. The more they deliver optimized performance, the more heat they accumulate. If not cooled properly, these products usually don’t work efficiently.

That’s why a range of products we use daily, such as computers, laptops, gaming consoles, home appliances, and automobiles, have cooling systems. Due to their frequent use and intensity, smartphones are no exception. So, how does a cooling system work in the tiny space of a smartphone?

First of all, the technology that has been used more for cooling smartphones, particularly the gaming and high-performance ones, is called Vapor Chamber Liquid Cooling. It is basically an advanced version of heat pipes. These pipes are usually used in laptop and computers. They are essentially sealed tubes filled with a heat-conductive fluid that absorbs and transfers heat away from hot components to cooler areas.

Secondly, Vapor chamber cooling represents a leap forward in heat dissipation technology. Unlike heat pipes, vapor chambers are flat, plate-like structures that can cover larger areas and provide more uniform heat distribution. This design makes them particularly well-suited for modern smartphones, where space constraints are critical, and components are densely packed.

Thirdly, Vapor chamber cooling systems consist of a flat, sealed chamber that contains a small amount of liquid coolant, often water or a combination of water and other fluids. This chamber is typically made from materials like copper or aluminum. This chamber operates on the principle of phase change. As heat is generated by the device’s components, the liquid coolant inside the chamber absorbs the heat and evaporates, turning into vapor. The vapor then moves to cooler areas of the chamber. And the process continues throughout our extensive use of smartphones, be it in work, entertainment, or even in charging.

Finally, in Bangladesh market, few brands including Infinix, Xiaomi, Realme and, Vivo have included this technology in their high-performance phones. The latest smartphone launched in Bangladesh under 30k that uses this technology for performance optimization is the Infinix Note 30 Pro. Wireless charging supported Infinix Note 30 Pro delivers excellent value for money making it a strong contender in its price segment. The price of this smartphone in Bangladesh is BDT 27,999. Customers will get a wireless charger free with the phone worth BDT 2,000.
