Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages Limited appoints Mayank Arora as Managing Director

 Staff Reporter Dhaka : Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages Limited., formerly known as International Beverages Private Limited (IBPL)—a 100% foreign direct investment of The  Coca-Cola Company in Bangladesh—has appointed Mayank Arora as the new Managing Director from October 2022. He succeeds Tapas Kumar Mondal, who had successfully served the organization from November 2010 to July 2022.

Prior to taking up this new role, Mayank was based in Colombo, Sri Lanka where he had served as the Managing Director of Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Ltd (CCBSL) from 2016 to 2022. Mayank has been instrumental in orchestrating the turnaround strategy, positioning Sri Lanka as one of the best performing BIG (Bottling Investments Group) markets. Under his leadership, Sri Lanka has received various accolades and recognitions within and beyond the Coca-Cola system.

Mayank Arora, Managing Director, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages Limited. said, “Bangladesh is a very important market for the Coca-Cola system, and it is an exciting time to become a part of this incredible growth journey. All our beverages are locally manufactured and brought to market by a very passionate and committed workforce.” He further added, “I look forward to an exciting time in Bangladesh, and leading the teams at CCBB, which has a great potential as a partner in progress to this fast-growing nation.”

During a career spanning 21 years, Mayank has held several positions in India at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Limited and Berger Paints India Ltd.

Mayank is an alumnus of Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. He has also taken an Advanced Management Program with Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is a graduate in Commerce from Delhi University.

Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages Limited has been witnessing exponential growth over the last few years, creating a strong foothold in the Bangladesh business landscape, creating more than 30,000 direct and indirect employment.
