Staff Reporter, Dhaka : “We can together tackle plastic pollution and motivate the youth to get involved in a campaign to keep single-use plastic away. We stand behind ESDO’s astounding activities regarding environmental preservation and are grateful for these tremendous activities. Other organizations should note ESDO’s approach”. Habibun Nahar, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, spoke out yesterday on the occasion of the ESDO day.
In accordance with Syed Marghub Murshed, the esteemed Chairperson of ESDO and former secretary of the government of Bangladesh, he suggested, “We should take the initiative to fight against plastic contamination in order to create a better future by promoting awareness among all parties involved to adopt sustainable practices and deny single-use plastic”.
The founding of the ESDO in 1990 is a testament to the commitment to creating a sustainable future for our planet. ESDO has made a lot of progress over the years when it comes to advocating for environmental protection, encouraging sustainable practices, and increasing awareness of the difficulties our global community faces.
Syed Marghub Morshed, the Chairman of ESDO and former Secretary to the Government of the Republic of Bangladesh, the Secretary General, Dr. Shahriar Hossain, the Executive Director, Siddika Sultana, other board members and team members have been on the journey of creating a toxic-free green world for the past 33 years.
“Our 33rd ESDO Day is an important occurrence for us as an entity and for anybody who has faith in the power of collective effort”, said ESDO’s Secretary General, Dr. Shahriar Hossain. We encourage individuals, communities, and groups to join us in recognizing this achievement and contribute to the cause of environmental sustainability. Executive Director Siddika Sultana stated that “we, as a team, can construct a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for the next generations”.
Numerous stakeholders have shown their support for ESDO’s initiatives, ranging from government bodies to environmental organizations, corporate partners, and individual supporters. This joint effort has enabled ESDO to undertake successful projects and campaigns to tackle major environmental problems, like plastic pollution, climate change, biodiversity depletion, and garbage management.
ESDO would like to express its deepest appreciation to all of the supporters, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders who have been essential in the organization’s progress during the past 33 years. Their enthusiasm and collaborative work have been crucial in constructing ESDO’s goal and effect and creating a toxin-free world.
