Staff reporter, Dhaka : Bangladesh Motorcycle Assemblers and Manufacturers Association (BMAMA) has conducted a ‘safe riding’ campaign for bikers ahead of Eid holidays.
The trade body held the awareness activations titled ‘follow traffic rules, return home safely’ at four exit points (Gabtoli, Abdullahpur, Babubazar and Kutubkhali) in Dhaka on Thursday, said a press release.
The campaigners distributed awareness leaflets, stickers and key rings among the bikers.
Road Transport and Highways Division secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri inaugurated the campaign at Babubazar point as chief guest.
Addressing the programme, Amin Ullah Nuri appreciated the campaign of BMAMA to inspire bikers to maintain safe riding during Eid holidays.
He urged the BMAMA leaders to continue such activities in future to ensure the safety of motorcycle customers.

Md Zakir Hossain, and Honda Bangladesh head of corporate affairs Ismail Bhuiyan were present on the occasion.
The high officials of motorcycle manufacturing company conveyed the awareness message to the bikers in the programe held simultaneously at Gabtoli, Abdullahpur and Kutubkhali points.
Four motorcycle brands – Bajaj, Honda, Yamaha and TVS have extended support to the BMAMA campaign.
