Staff Reporter, Dhaka : Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) has emerged champion in BRAC Bank Womens Development Cup Hockey 2025.
In the final, BKSP Team scored 8-0 against Kishoreganj to clinch the title at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium on March 22, 2025. The Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) under patronization of BRAC Bank organized the tournament styled ;BRAC Bank Womens Development Cup Hockey 2025; to promote womens hockey in the country.
In the final, Kishoreganj forward Fardia Akter Ratri was adjudged as the best player of the tournament.
BKSP’s Arpita, also captain of Bangladesh womens team, grabbed the top-scorer title of the tournament with 30 goals to her credit.
Bangladesh Hockey Federations President Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan and BRAC Bank Chairperson Meheriar M. Hasan distributed prizes among the teams. BHF General Secretary Lt Col
(retd.) Riazul Hasan were, among others, present.
Ten district-level teams, along with BKSP, participated in the tournament, which ran from March 11 to 22, 2025, featuring 28 matches. The participating teams included Dinajpur, Jashore, Chattogram, Patuakhali, Rajshahi, Jhenaidah, Thakurgaon, Rangpur, Cumilla, and Kishoreganj, alongside BKSP.
These teams were divided into two groups for the competition. Matches took place at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium and the Bangladesh Air Force field in Kurmitola.
