Staff Reporter, Dhaka : Sayem Sobhan Anvir is a pure white-hearted person wrapped in the shell of the aristocracy who has drawn orphan children who grew up without compassion for him closely. He extended his hand of mercy to thousands of orphan children in various cities and villages, including Dhaka, Chittagong, and Khulna. Satisfying food was given to their mouth. This is how the Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, the country’scountry’s top industrial group, has made the day of others colorful on his own birthday. As always, this great man celebrated his birthday not by receiving any gift but by giving it to helpless people.
Tuesday (January 31) was Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir’s birthday. On this day in 1981, this pioneer of multi-dimensional business leader and good personality of the new generation saw the world’s light. On this occasion, he chose not an elite event but humanitarian activities. More than 100,000 children from around 300 orphanages across the country have received satisfying food in this humanitarian initiative. Delicious food was delivered to 65 thousand of orphaned children of 100 madrasas in Dhaka and surrounding areas.
This exceptional food has been handed over to 20 thousand orphan children in 22 madrasas of Chittagong, 10 thousand orphans in 53 madrasas of poverty-stricken Mongla, and 5 thousand orphans in 10 madrasas of Sylhet. This special event was held in 98 madrasas in Bancharampur upazila of Brahmmanbaria district.
A huge cookout was organized in all the halls of International Convention City Bashundhara for about 65,000 children from Dhaka and its surrounding areas. Whether the number is five thousand or one lac, cooking for orphans is done with utmost love and compassion, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
On the surface, it can be seen that there was a festive mood in cooking for orphans. There was a unique attraction in the arrangement of food. Delicious food is prepared by slaughtering 60 to 65 cows, and the entire arrangement was directly supervised by Sayem Sobhan Anvir himself. Forgetting all the tiredness of the day and night on Tuesday, the whole food distribution process continues in the morning. More than one and a half hundred workers were working non-stop preparing and distributing this delicious and elite food, forgetting the calculation of day and night. They also feel fortunate to be able to give a little festive touch to the children.
Around the country, Tuesday mornings were a little different for orphans than any other day. The fragrance of happiness fills their surroundings. An orphan’sorphan’s plate was full of their favorite food, with a little bit of mother’smother’s love or father’sfather’s care as ingredients.
Dhaka and Sayem Sobhan Anvir also painted a sign of happiness in the hearts of these neglected children from other countries. More than 200 orphanages and madrassas in Chittagong, Sylhet, Narail, Khulna, Mongla, Gopalganj, and Bancharampur have also arranged delicious food as a gift for nearly 50 thousand children. The tender hands of children scattered across the country gathered in prayer after receiving such unprecedented love from the Bashundhara Group Managing Director. The emotional hearts of the children evoked thanks to the creator and gratitude to Sayem Sobhan Anvir.
Maulana Shahadat Hossain Emdadi, principal of Vasantek Jamia Islamia Arabia Madrasa and Orphanage in the capital, said, ”there are 350 students in this madrasa. The activities here are being conducted with the cooperation of local and various businessmen. Under the supervision of Sayem Sobahan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, we receive food for orphans and madrasa students every month. Children are thrilled to have a satisfying meal today. Everyone prayed for Sayem Sobhan Anvir.”
From birth, children grow up with the utmost love and care of all family members. These ignorant souls become whole human beings with the creator’s blessings and their parents’ incomparable love. But in the path of this friend of human life, many children have to grow up without their parents through an endless struggle where there is no scent of mother’smother’s love and father’sfather’s trust. Deprived of their parents’ love, these children grow up in various orphanages and madrasas by the grace of God. There is everything in this one-sided life, not just the frenzy of a family festival.
But nothing is hidden from the eyes of the great creator. He often paints the lives of these tender children with colorful colors of joy through his beloved servants. Maybe one of them is Sayem Sobhan Anvir, who never celebrates his birthday with stunning and colorful events. He finds himself with the happiness of children and smears with divine mercy.
Of course, this is not the first time Sayem Sobhan Anvir celebrates his birthday with children yearly. There is also another event with orphan children organized throughout the year. Every Friday, he distributes food to around 5 thousand helpless and orphaned children in the city.
Under his guidance, a grand event is held annually to break the fast to about 2 lac fasting people during Ramadan. Not only has that, in 2022, he borne all the expenses of the Umrah Hajj of 26 Muslims who cannot afford it, which is still ongoing. Bashundhara MD’sMD’s great and humane arrangement on his birthday has been widely praised in various quarters.
