Staff Reporter, Dhaka : To pass the Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover without stopping, bKash RFID registration is currently underway for four-wheelers (cars, jeeps, microbuses,
pickups, and others). By utilising an RFID scan, vehicles can pay their tolls automatically with bKash and pass without a halt at the toll point. To facilitate the registration, booths have been set up at various points of the country's longest flyover.
Meanwhile, QR registration is being done at the booths for uninterrupted passage of motorcycles. Motorcycle riders can seamlessly pay the tolls with bKash by scanning a QR code at the toll point within seconds and cross the flyover.
This seamless process avoids waiting at the queues and paying tolls with cash. Instead, automated scanning of the RFID sticker on the vehicle allows passengers to pass through the Flyover without any stoppage. Vehicles with a sticker can use the dedicated RFID lanes,
where toll gate barrier opens automatically as they pass through the toll plaza.
Besides the booths, set up at various points of the Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover, RFID registration can also be done by selecting ‘Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover’ from the ‘Toll’ icon in the bKash app. After submitting the necessary information there, an OTP will be sent to the customer's mobile phone. Once the OTP is entered and confirmed, the customer’s registration will be complete. After completing the registration, the RFID sticker should be collected from the nearest registration booth.
In the same way, to buy trips, customers need to select ‘Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover’ from the ‘Toll’ icon in the bKash app. Then, they should choose the ‘Add Trip’ option, select ‘Pay with bKash’, and enter the number of trips, their bKash account number, verification code, and their PIN to purchase trips.
Additionally, customers paying with bKash for trips on the Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover will receive a 10% cashback, up to Tk 100 per day. A customer can get maximum Tk 100 cashback per month till 30 September 2025. To be eligible for the cashback, trips must be purchased through the bKash app using the bKash payment gateway.
